CSL Series Mechanical Self-Locking Jacks

The CSL series mechanical self-locking hydraulic jack incorporates an integrated mechanical locking mechanism that automatically maintains the piston rod in its extended position when hydraulic pressure is removed, providing inherent load-holding capability without requiring continuous pump pressure. This self-locking feature is essential for applications where the lifted load must be securely supported for an extended period — during structural repairs, equipment inspection under load, incremental jacking operations, and any situation where pump disconnection is necessary or desirable during the hold phase.

The mechanical lock engages automatically as the piston extends and provides a positive mechanical barrier against unintended retraction caused by hydraulic circuit pressure loss, hose failure, or pump shutdown. This significantly improves safety in load-bearing applications compared to single-acting jacks that rely solely on continuous hydraulic pressure for load retention. The lock can be released manually when lowering is required, returning control to the hydraulic circuit for controlled descent.

All CSL models are equipped with NPT 3/8 standard fittings, baked-paint corrosion-resistant surface finish, and are compatible with CP series electric pumps and HAP/HSP manual pumps. The series is particularly well suited for bridge jacking and shoring, building structure maintenance, long-term load-holding during equipment overhaul, incremental lift programs using multiple stages, and any application where the mechanical independence of load support from the hydraulic supply represents a meaningful safety advantage.
