Six-Link Hydraulic Wrench Tooling

The six-link hydraulic wrench tooling system enables simultaneous operation of six hydraulic torque wrenches from a single hydraulic power unit, providing a complete synchronized fastening solution for large-diameter bolt circles where six-point simultaneous torquing is specified. By driving all six wrenches at equal pressure through a precision flow-balanced manifold, the system ensures that each bolt receives identical torque application simultaneously, eliminating the pre-load variation introduced by sequential tightening in large flange joint assemblies.

The manifold design incorporates individual circuit isolation valves that allow specific wrench positions to be bypassed or independently adjusted without affecting the remaining active positions, providing operational flexibility for partial circle applications or when different torque values are required at specific bolt locations. Pressure monitoring at each circuit branch provides real-time visibility of the torque being applied at every wrench position simultaneously. The system is designed for a specific bolt circle diameter, bolt size, and torque rating, and is engineered in collaboration with the customer to ensure full geometric and mechanical compatibility.

Six-link tooling systems are used in heavy manufacturing and energy sector maintenance for large turbine casing bolt circles, compressor casing assemblies, large pump and motor flange joints, and other high-bolt-count applications where simultaneous full-circle fastening is required to meet assembly specifications. The system can be mounted on a wheeled cart or gantry frame for positioning and repositioning convenience, and is compatible with standard hydraulic wrench pumps capable of supplying the combined flow and pressure requirements of all six active wrenches.
